What Notion does better
Shared pages and wikis, databases with boards and calendars, templates, integrations and AI. Notelet has none of that. If you work with other people in your notes, choose Notion.
Where Notelet is different
Notelet is for one person’s notes and reminders. Your library lives on your device, so it opens at once and works on a plane; changes sync when you’re back online, encrypted on your devices before they leave them.
Moving from Notion to Notelet
Export a Notion workspace or page as Markdown, then import the folder in Notelet (File › Import to Notes…): it’s read as Markdown, keeping folders and pictures. Databases come across as their pages’ text, not as databases.
Common questions
Is Notelet a Notion alternative?
For personal notes and reminders, yes. For team workspaces, databases and AI, no: Notion does those and Notelet doesn’t.
Does Notelet work offline?
Yes. Your library is kept on your device and everything works without a connection; sync catches up later.
Is Notelet free?
Yes. Every feature, on every system, is free. Syncing through storage you already have (your own S3 or WebDAV server, or a folder Dropbox, iCloud Drive or OneDrive keeps in step on a computer) is free for good. Notelet Cloud gives the first 1,000 accounts 5 GB free for life; bigger plans (50 GB for £10 a year, 200 GB for £25 a year) open soon.
