Turn your phone sideways. On the iPhone, everything now stays clear of the Dynamic Island and the rounded corners, and a page's title moves into the bar at the top to leave more room. On both phones you can see what you're typing while the keyboard is up, and on Android typing stays in the app instead of a plain full-screen box.

Locking on two devices at once. If you lock a note, or remove its lock, on two devices at almost the same time, it keeps one copy of its words and its attachments instead of two.

Steadier sync. A picture deleted for good no longer comes back as an empty placeholder on a device that was offline for days, and Notelet Cloud says it can't be reached by its own name when you're offline.

Smaller fixes. A link added while you undo or sync lands on the words you chose, and videos on Linux use far less memory.

Pictures show on the iPhone. Pictures added on another device, such as screenshots pasted on a Mac, show in your notes on the iPhone again instead of as a file. So do the pictures in a locked note while it's open.

No more blank reminders. On a phone, empty reminder rows no longer pile up, typing quickly into a new reminder keeps every word, and a new reminder at the end of a long list stays above the keyboard.

Checklists as you type. Typing "[ ] " or "- [ ] " at the start of a line makes it a checklist item.

Smaller fixes. On Android a picture opens filling the screen, messages read in plain words, and lots of little things behave better.

Locked notes are safer. A locked note's photos and videos stay safe if you remove the lock while it's still sealing, or if the app closes just after you lock it. Its #tags stay hidden while it's locked.

Big folders open smoothly. On Android, a folder with lots of notes opens as smoothly as a small one.

Quicker typing. Typing in a big library is quicker, Replace All is instant even in a long note, and the app uses less memory on Linux.

Tidier library. Two windows on the same note keep each other's typing, and on the iPhone the Settings button is now at the top right, with the headings and icons lined up.

Notelet 0.10.10

Notes open at once. On Android, opening a note no longer sometimes takes a second or two, and its words appear in their own type straight away.

Lock notes with photos and files. Locked notes can hold photos, videos and files, sealed with your notes password like the words.

Lighter on memory. Adding a big video, or receiving one from another device, no longer weighs the app down.

Smoother on computers. The sidebar slides in and out, folders open with a turn, and new notes ease into the list.

Notelet 0.10.9

Notelet now uses far less memory. Attachments are stored as plain files and only loaded when a note shows them, so the app no longer keeps your whole library of photos and videos in memory: on a computer it starts at a fraction of the memory it used, and a note with a long video costs a fraction of what it did on phones. Big photos are shown in notes from a smaller copy (Quick Look still shows the original), and opening Notelet a second time on a computer brings the open window forward instead of starting another copy. Your attachments are converted to the new storage in the background the first time you open this version.

Notelet 0.10.8

Notelet Cloud no longer needs seven words: your notes are still encrypted before they leave your device, and Notelet keeps a recovery key with your account, so signing in on a new phone is all it takes. Want only your devices to hold the key? Turn on Advanced Protection in Settings (it works both ways, any time). Locked notes on phones now open, lock and change password in a moment instead of half a minute, with a button to show the password as you type. Restart to Update installs again on computers, pictures and videos open smoothly on a Mac, the Delete key moves the chosen note to the Bin, and Settings and Help have new ways to contact us, report a bug or join our Discord.

Rearranging pictures and files inside a note is fixed: on Windows, dragging one to a new place now moves it; dragging one out of the window and back no longer leaves a copy behind; and moving several in quick succession no longer duplicates the last one.

Notelet 0.10.6

Pictures and files now leave a note as real files: drag one out to another app, a folder or the desktop, or right-click it and choose Copy. Drag a note out of the window and it opens in a window of its own. Double-click empty space in a folder or a reminders list to start a new note or reminder. The date, time and repeat chips end in Custom…, for any day or time you like.

Also: Notelet Cloud is back in the Mac app on Apple silicon; updates now go straight to the newest version instead of one at a time; pictures and videos have a Medium size; a numbered list keeps the number you start it from; Export to PDF on the Mac keeps the note's fonts and pictures; and New List's icons and emoji sit centred.

Notelet 0.10.5

New reminders get a row of chips: a date, a time, a repeat, a priority, a flag, tags and (in Today and the like) the list, each one press away. Clicking empty space while you're typing a reminder now just finishes it, and an empty new reminder no longer lingers or lands in Recently Deleted.

Also: Print works on the Mac; clicking outside a picture or video closes it; an audio card's volume slider no longer drags the card; the New List window fits everything; New Folder and Hide Sidebar are back beside the sidebar's heading on Windows; and a list's colour tab sits level with its name.

The date and time fields on computers take the keyboard: type a date or a time straight in. The first update that installs itself over 0.10.3.

Notelet 0.10.3

A new look of its own: ink, paper and a yellow highlighter, with serif titles and square checkboxes. The app is called Notelet everywhere. Your smart lists are always a list, and every list shows its icon. Joining a library with your seven words is easier, and signing in to Notelet Cloud while syncing elsewhere moves your notes across. The welcome is tidier, and unfinished features are gone.

The Mac download opens again (macOS called it damaged). An update whose install is cancelled stays ready to try again. On Linux, the AppImage follows your system's accent colour and fonts. Includes 0.10.1's sync fixes.

Fixes two rare cases where a device could miss some changes for good: one restored from a backup made before it first synced, and one that had never synced its own changes. Small touches to the welcome screen and the installers.

The first build for testers. Sign in with a Notelet account to sync your notes and reminders between your devices, sealed with your seven words before they leave each one. Notelet keeps itself up to date from here on.
